Job Summary
CanGoNano is a European Training Network funded under the Horizon Europe Marie Sk?odowska-Curie Doctoral Networks (MSCA-DN) programme. The project focuses on glyconanomaterials (GNMs) as precision tools to advance the understanding of how antigen-presenting cells (APCs) are activated against cancer, using antigenic peptides and mRNA encoding these peptides. Within CanGoNano, Doctoral Candidates (DCs) will receive comprehensive, multidisciplinary training on the potential of glycoscience in cancer immunotherapy, alongside the development of key transferable skills

The programme offers an international, intersectoral, and interdisciplinary research environment, in line with the EU Principles for Innovative Doctoral Training, positioning DCs strongly for future career opportunities in both academia and industry. As part of the CANGONANO network, the Radiochemistry and Nuclear Imaging Group at CIC biomaGUNE is recruiting one Doctoral Candidate (DC) to conduct research on the radiolabelling and in vivo evaluation of glyconanomaterials as gene delivery systems. The position will be jointly supervised by Dr Jordi Llop (CIC biomaGUNE) and Dr Mónica Carril (UPV/EHU), with Alexander H. van Asbeck (RiboPro B.V., NL) acting as external co-supervisor, offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of glyconanotechnology and in vivo molecular imaging, while benefiting from tailored training and international secondments across the consortium.
