The University of Deusto is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Faculty of Engineering at the Bilbao campus within the Design Engineering area. The selected candidate will contribute to research activities focused on design and development processes, with particular emphasis on product-service systems, sustainable design, and innovation methodologies. The position involves collaboration within interdisciplinary research environments and participation in research projects addressing contemporary challenges in engineering design and innovation. The researcher will support the advancement of knowledge in design engineering through research, scientific dissemination, and collaboration with academic and applied research initiatives.

The selected candidate will join the Design Engineering research area within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto. The researcher will contribute to the development of research activities related to design and innovation processes in engineering contexts.
Research activities will focus on design methodologies and development processes, including areas such as product-service systems, sustainable design approaches, and innovation-oriented design frameworks. The candidate will collaborate with the research team on projects that address current challenges in engineering design, integrating technological, social, and environmental perspectives.
Responsibilities will include contributing to the development and execution of research projects, participating in interdisciplinary collaboration within the faculty, and supporting the dissemination of research results through scientific publications and academic activities. The researcher will work closely with members of the research team in advancing research lines related to design engineering and innovation.
The position also involves contributing to the broader research ecosystem of the faculty by participating in collaborative initiatives, supporting project development, and engaging in scientific dissemination activities related to the research lines of the group.

Benefits:
• 3-year research contract at the University of Deusto
• Annual gross salary between €37,000 and €41,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, distributed in 15 monthly payments
• Contract under the associate researcher (investigador/a asociado/a) category
• Expected start date: 1 September 2026
