The University of Deusto invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the DEUSTO-INTERVENTION research group within the Faculty of Education and Sports. This role is specifically designed for researchers with advanced expertise in quantitative methodologies applied to critical social areas such as risk behaviours, addictions, and social inclusion. As an Associate Researcher, you will play a vital role in enhancing the group scientific output and social impact through knowledge transfer. This three-year position offers a prestigious platform to work alongside leading experts in social justice and educational inclusion, starting on 1 September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
Methodological Leadership: Support the research team in advanced quantitative techniques applied to social and educational research.
Scientific Excellence: Publish in high-impact journals (WoS and SJR) in collaboration with team members.
Project Development: Contribute to competitive research projects funded by the Basque Government, Spanish Government, and Horizon Europe.
Funding Acquisition: Lead or assist in the submission of competitive research proposals for national and international grants.
Knowledge Transfer: Actively collaborate with external scientific and social agents to ensure research translates into social benefit.
Requirements and Expectations:
Academic Qualifications: A PhD degree is mandatory. Applicants who completed their PhD in 2023 or later are particularly encouraged.
Methodological Expertise: Strong background in quantitative research applied to social justice, inclusion, or risk behaviours.
Scientific Track Record: Proven quality of publications in journals, books, or chapters, including open-access works.
International Profile: Prior international research stays of at least four weeks.
Mobility: Positive consideration for candidates meeting the Marie Curie international mobility criteria.
Professional Competencies: Teamwork skills, empathy, motivation for innovation, and alignment with the University mission.
Benefits:
Contract Duration: Fixed-term contract for a period of 3 years.
Competitive Salary: Annual gross allocation between 37,000 EUR and 41,000 EUR, depending on experience.
Payment Structure: Salary is distributed into 15 monthly instalments.
