The University of Deusto invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Deusto Education Research (eDucaR) group within the Faculty of Education and Sports in Bilbao. This role is designed for ambitious researchers committed to advancing teaching and learning practices that foster the development and well-being of all individuals. As an Associate Researcher, you will contribute to the consolidation of the team’s research lines and participate in high-impact educational projects. This three-year position offers a prestigious platform to collaborate with a leading academic team, contribute to international publications, and engage in competitive research at regional, national, and European levels. We seek a motivated scholar to start on 1 September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
Research Excellence: Produce high-quality publications in top-tier journals indexed in WoS and SJR in collaboration with group members.
Project Participation: Actively contribute to competitive research projects funded by the Basque Government, the Spanish Government, and Horizon Europe.
Proposal Development: Design and submit competitive research proposals to secure external funding and advance the group's strategic goals.
Scientific Outreach: Participate in activities to disseminate research findings and ensure a significant social impact in the field of education.
Team Integration: Work under the leadership of Principal Investigator Lourdes Villardon Gallego and Co-IP Rocio Garcia Carrion within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Requirements and Expectations:
Academic Qualifications: A PhD degree is mandatory. Applications from candidates who completed their PhD in 2023 or later are especially encouraged.
Research Track Record: Proven quality and relevance of scientific publications in journals, books, or chapters, including open-access works.
International Profile: Completion of international research stays of more than four weeks and relevance of work presented at scientific or technical conferences.
Mobility: Positive consideration will be given to candidates meeting the Marie Curie international mobility criteria (not having lived or worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the last 3 years).
Professional Competencies: Demonstrated ability to work in teams, empathy, adaptability, and a strong motivation for educational innovation.
Institutional Alignment: Identification with the mission and values of the University of Deusto.

Benefits:
Contract Duration: A fixed-term contract for a period of 3 years.
Competitive Salary: Annual gross allocation between 37,000 EUR and 41,000 EUR, depending on the candidate's experience.
Payment Terms: The salary is distributed into 15 monthly instalments.
Professional Category: Contracted under the Associate Researcher (Investigador/a asociado/a) category.
Leave and Welfare: Statutory parental leave, 22-25 days of annual leave plus university holidays, and access to the National Health System.
Research Support: Access to Deusto’s research infrastructure and integration into a vibrant international academic network.
Contract Duration: A fixed-term contract for a period of 3 years.
