The University of Deusto invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Deusto Social Values research group within the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences in Bilbao. As an Associate Researcher, you will advance critical inquiry into public policies and institutional strategies that promote social inclusion and gender-just governance. This three-year position offers a prestigious platform to collaborate with a leading academic team, contribute to high-impact international publications, and engage in competitive research projects at regional, national, and European levels (including Horizon Europe). Key Responsibilities:
High-Impact Research: Conduct original research on gender equality and social change, aiming for publication in top-tier journals indexed in WoS and SJR.
Project Development: Actively participate in ongoing competitive projects funded by the Basque Government, Spanish Government, and Horizon Europe, and lead the submission of new research proposals.
Knowledge Transfer: Contribute to the social return of research by engaging in activities that translate scientific findings into political and social impact.
Methodological Excellence: Apply rigorous qualitative and quantitative methodologies to analyse public policies and inclusion/exclusion processes.
Institutional Alignment: Work collaboratively with the team led by Principal Investigator Maria Silvestre Carrera, identifying with the mission and values of the University of Deusto.

Requirements and Expectations:
Academic Background: A PhD degree is mandatory. Applicants who completed their PhD in 2023 or later are especially encouraged to apply.
Scientific Track Record: Proven quality and relevance of scientific publications and previous contributions to research projects.
International Profile: Prior international research stays (minimum four weeks) and relevance of work presented at scientific or technical conferences.
Mobility: Positive consideration will be given to candidates meeting the Marie Curie international mobility criteria.
Professional Competencies: Demonstrated ability to work in teams, empathy, adaptability, and a strong capacity to incorporate a gender perspective into research.
Benefits:
Contract Duration: A fixed-term contract for a period of 3 years.
Competitive Salary: Annual gross allocation between 37,000 and 41,000 EUR, distributed into 15 monthly instalments, depending on the candidate's experience.
Category: Professional recruitment under the Associate Researcher (Investigador/a Asociado/a) category.
