Job Description

We are pleased to offer a technology transfer assistant position for a European Innovation Council project in the Self-Assembly group at CIC Nanogune. This position focuses on the exploitation, intellectual property (IP), and market analysis of DNA-based digital memory technologies. This project is funded by the European Innovation Council and is at the forefront of exploring the intersection of molecular biology, information technology, and nanotechnology. The selected candidate will join a dynamic research team dedicated to advancing DNA-based digital memory technologies.

The role focuses on connecting research outcomes with market opportunities at the early stages of innovation, and on contributing to the development, exploitation, and dissemination of an EIC project.

The aim of the project is to:

-Contribute to the development and exploitation of DNA digital data storage devices.
-Analyze markets and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities in DNA data storage and related sectors.
-Coordinate exploitation and dissemination through patents, publications, and industry outreach.
-Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including molecular biologists, chemists, computer scientists, and engineers.
-Engage with researchers, industry partners, and the Basque/EU innovation ecosystem.


The successful candidate will have a:

-Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
-Industry experience, ideally in biotech, life sciences, or digital technologies.
-Strong communication and analytical skills.
-Proven experience in bridging science, innovation, and commercialisation. Familiarity with intellectual property would be beneficial, though not essential.
