Job Summary
We invite applications for a PhD fellowship in the Rheology and Advanced Manufacturing Group at POLYMAT at the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering (POLYMAT Fundazioa) www.polymat.eu.
Job Description
The project will explore fundamental aspects of polymer solutions under flow, combining custom-built microfluidic and rheometric tools with micro-structural characterization techniques.
Eligibility and Requirements
(i) BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Physics, Chemistry or related discipline.
(ii) Strong background in Polymer Science and/or Materials Science.
(iii)Good command of written and spoken English.
(iv) Strong interest in the physical principles that govern polymer science, microfluidics and rheology.
(v) Basic programming skills (e.g., Matlab or similar) and previous experience in rheology are an asset.
