We are looking for a motivated candidate to support the Nuclear Imaging Platform by performing routine tasks such as image acquisition, reconstruction, and analysis. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for conducting daily quality control procedures on the various scanners to ensure optimal performance.

The Nuclear Imaging Platform of the Molecular Imaging Unit at CIC biomaGUNE is a state-of-the-art research facility in the field of preclinical nuclear imaging. The platform develops its own research projects and provides services to the scientific community, healthcare system, and specialized industry. The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and work in close collaboration with platform users.
Primary responsibilities include:
Performing experiments, setting up and maintaining equipment, monitoring results, collecting data, and preparing support materials.
Handling, caring for, and conducting procedures with research animals.
Conducting regular quality control procedures on the various scanners.
Keeping detailed records of incidents and technical issues related to the imaging equipment.
Managing data and organizing regular backups to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Ordering equipment and supplies.
Training and supervising researchers in PET/SPECT/CT/OI image acquisition, reconstruction, and analysis.
Participating in continuous training activities.
This position requires working in a specific-pathogen-free (SPF) animal facility and in areas with elevated radiation levels (nuclear imaging facilities). The candidate must be able to work in such environments. Therefore, the signing of the contract will be subject to clearance by CIC biomaGUNE’s Health, Safety, and Security in the Workplace Office.
