MALDI TOF Technician

Job Summary

Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering-POLYMAT Fundazioa is a research center based in Donostia-San Sebastian associated to the University of the Basque Country. It is devoted to use-inspired fundamental research on synthesis, assembly and processing of polymers.
POLYMAT invites applications for a part-time position as MALDI-TOF Technician in the polymer characterization platform Area.

Job Description

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
The candidate will be in charge of a BRUKER Autoflex MALDI-TOF spectrometer. This position may also require the participation of the candidate in research projects and development of new projects related to this technical platform. Experience in other polymer/material characterization methods will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
We are looking for a motivated and experienced MALDI-TOF Technician with the following profile:
• BS,MS or PhD in Science (preferebly physics, chemistry or engineering).
• Experience in polymer characterization and mass spectrometry.
• Experience in research laboratories, equipment and software operation will be valuable.
• Self-motivated with willingness to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary and international team.
