Job Description
Applications are invited for a PhD studentship to work on a project at CIC biomaGUNE located in San Sebastian (Spain).
The project aims at preclinically evaluating new therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer Disease, and monitoring disease progression using a combination of in vivo imaging modalities, such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET), computerized Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The candidate will deal with radiotracer development and preparation, as well as in vivo imaging studies including image acquisition and analysis. The use of complementary in vitro analysis such as autoradiography, immunohistochemistry and staining, is also envisaged.
Applications are invited to work at the Radiochemistry and Nuclear Imaging Laboratory of CIC biomaGUNE, led by Jordi Llop. The group is fully established and is currently integrated by 1 postdoctoral researcher, 7 PhD students and 2 technicians. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art radiochemistry and imaging facilities including cyclotron, radiochemistry laboratory, and PET-SPECT-CT and high field MRI preclinical imaging systems, as well as generous budget for consumables.
