Entrepreneurial Researcher

Job Summary

Applications are invited for an Entrepreneurial Researcher to join the entrepreneurial team of a venture project at CIC biomaGUNE (San Sebastian, Spain). The project proposes the incorporation of a start-up company to exploit a patent-protected, ground-breaking technology applied to the characterization of the lung ventilation function of patients suffering from respiratory diseases. The main objective of this position will be to lead the development of the technology into the successive stages required to reach the market in parallel with the start-up development. The successful candidate will work jointly with the Radiochemistry & Nuclear Imaging Laboratory and the Technology Transfer Office of CIC biomaGUNE, under the supervision of Dr. Jordi Llop.

Job Description

The candidate is expected to take care of the following tasks:

Execute or coordinate the phases necessary for the development of the VENTIPET technology, including preclinical studies (toxicology and dosimetry), validation of the production process under good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and development of the administration system.

Analysis of the technical viability of the VENTIPET technology.

Participate, covering technical aspects, in the Business Plan and Roadmap of a start-up company.

Participate in the search and obtention of funding through investors or public and private calls.

Contact with Key-Opinion leaders and potential technology exploiters.

Commercial representation of technology in forums and congresses
