Call for expression of interests of candidates for Ikerbasque Fellow Tenure-Track position

Ikerbasque - the Basque Foundation for Science, has launched a new call to support 5-year tenure-track contracts, within the Ikerbasque Research Fellow program. CIC biomaGUNE is actively seeking to welcome outstanding candidates working in Synthetic Bioengineering for biomedical applications.

Job Description

We are looking for candidates with a strong track record in the broad field of Biomaterials Engineering. Experience in the design of biomaterials, bioprinting, flexible materials, artificial scaffolds, and 3D functional engineered models, aiming at the understanding and control of the material properties for biomedical applications will be valued.

These five-year Fellowships are directed to promising young researchers; and intend to offer a track towards a PI role and independent research. Ikerbasque researchers are encouraged to apply for financial support in national and international competitive calls to lead R&D projects and to develop their own activity and research agenda. Ikerbasque is committed to offer a long-term career to the research community: Fellows in their 5th year can be assessed for a permanent position.

The applicants must have their PhD completed between 01/01/2013 and 31/12/2021.

Applications from women are especially welcomed. The eligibility period will be extended under special circumstances such as maternity.
