POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CIC energiGUNE is looking for a researcher to work on the processing and characterization of cathodes for Li-ion solid state batteries.

Job Description

Job functions:

Define and develop novel formulations of state-of-the-art electrode materials.
Upscale existing cathode materials processing protocols from lab scale to pilot line.
Process and produce pilot-scale cathode materials.
Cathode materials characterization using different techniques.
Electrochemical validation of the materials.
Contribute to the development of intellectual property towards industrialization.

Additional Requirements

Specific Requirements

PhD in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or any other related fields.
Knowledge of advanced characterization and analytical techniques to support material optimization studies.
Experience working in the battery field.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish or Basque valuable but not compulsory).
A good team player who can collaborate with other researchers and with external partners.
Highly motivated to transfer technology to the industry.
Knowledge of safety awareness and protocols is preferred.
