Job Summary

Renyi Institute (Budapest) and BCAM (Bilbao) are offering two joint postdoc positions to work in Singularity Theory, Algebraic Geometry and related topics.

Job Description

The selected candidates will be offered a 3 years position that will distributed in two periods, one at each institution. The distribution will be determined by the interest and preference of the candidate, respecting a minimum of 1 year in each institute. The Algebraic Geometry and Singularity Theory groups in Renyi and BCAM have common interest and a fluent collaboration. We hope that the candidates will be able to profit from it.

The salary will be the standard postdoc salary according to the candidate experience at each institution.
Contract: 2 positions of 3 years each of them
Deadline is December 15th for one position and February 15th for the other.

The candidates that do not fulfil the mandatory requirements will not be evaluated with respect to their scientific profile. Additional documents could be requested during the evaluation process so as to check this fulfilment.
Required documents: CV, Letter of interest, 2 recommendation letters ,Statement of past and proposed future research (up to 5 pages + references).
Based on the provided application documents of each candidate, the evaluation committee will evaluate qualitatively: the quality of the previous mathematical activity of the candidate and the adaptation to the profile. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed.
Incorporation: Flexible, from reception of the offer to fall of 2024

Benefits

The salary will be the standard postdoc salary according to the candidate experience at each institution.
Additionally, we offer a moving allowance up to
2.000€.
Should the researcher have a family at the time of
recruitment:
1. 2.000€ gross in a single payment
will be offered (you must be
married-official register or with
children and the certificate to
prove it must be sent).
2. 1.200€ gross per year/per child
(up to 2 children) will be offered
