Pre-doctoral researcher for the Battery Modelling Line

CIDETEC Energy Storage is seeking to recruit a person to join its Energy Materials unit, to carry out a doctoral thesis on the development of advanced physico-chemical models for implementation in BMS.
You will form part of a state-of-the-art research centre, geared to sustainability and the circular economy, which has helped electrify Spain’s roads and is now working towards 100% future sustainability.
You will undertake your thesis in the highly innovative area of multi-physical models in BMS control.
Your work will be geared to:
Development of surrogate models
On-board and cloud implementation of the models
Validation of the models developed in a real BMS

The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound knowledge in the following areas:
Programming in Python
Knowledge of numerical algorithms
Knowledge of batteries
Knowledge of the following will also be considered an advantage:
Real-time system monitoring and control
Modern programming tools, visualisation and version control (Git)
