R&D TECHNOLOGIST/ENGINEER POSITION IN NANOSCIENCE
Job Description
Materials Physics Center offers a technologist/engineer position (1+1+1 years) to work with Nanomaterials and Spectroscopy Group. The selected candidate will join the Basque NanoNeuro Network (B3N) to participate in the development of optically-active nanomaterials for neurotechnologies. The position requires demonstrated experience in colloidal chemistry, nanoscience, surface bioconjugation and bottom-up self-assembly of nanoparticles, as well as skills in nanomaterials characterization through spectroscopy and microscopy-based techniques. Candidates must hold an engineering degree in Chemistry or Physics. Project-management skills would also be an asset. The selected person will undertake the following tasks: (1) developing nanostructured materials comprising metal/ semiconducting/magnetic nanocrystals with biocompatible surface chemistry; (2) consulting and training activities within B3N and outside the network; (3) assisting the activities related to technology transfer of developed methods and materials.
The positions will be funded by MCIN and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR-C17.I1, as well as by IKUR Strategy under the collaboration agreement between Ikerbasque Foundation and DIPC on behalf of the Department of Education of the Basque Government.
