Job Summary

The project proposes furthering the development of patent-protected non-toxic, targeted, protein-based MRI contrast agents into marketable products. We expect this project to evolve into the incorporation of a start-up to exploit the technology, and the successful candidate to become the Chief Technology Officer of the venture. The main objective of this position will be to lead the development of the technology into the successive stages required to reach the market in parallel with the start-up development. The successful candidate will work jointly with the Biomolecular Nanotechnology group and the Technology Transfer Office of CIC biomaGUNE, under the supervision of Dr. Aitziber López-Cortajarena.

Job Description

Functions to be developed:

Plan, execute and coordinate steps necessary for the development of the technology.
Analysis of the technical viability of the technology
Obtaining prototypes, demonstration on a pilot scale, in-vivo tests, or other activities that allow the validation of the technology.
Participate, covering technical aspects, in the design of business strategy based on start-up business models.
Participate, covering technical aspects, in the Business Plan and Roadmap of a start-up company.
Funding application drafting and participate in the search and attaining of funding through investors or public and private calls.
Contact with Key-Opinion leaders and potential technology exploiters.
Commercial representation of technology in forums and congresses.
