Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated student recently graduated in Physics, Chemistry, or related fields interested in performing a PhD as part of a collaborative project between the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) and the Università degli studi di Milano-Bicocca (MiB).
Job Description
The PhD candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Sanchez-Cano (DIPC) and Prof.
Giuseppe Chirico (MiB) to optimise multimodal correlative approaches combining X-ray and/or optical techniques to probe the metal components, micro- or nano-structure and organisation of A? amyloid aggregates. This will be ultimately aimed at developing viable methods to monitor the activity of anti-A? systems using neuronal models of different complexity.
Previous experience in X-ray imaging or spectroscopy, X-ray or neutron scattering and/or non-linear optical microscopy are particularly welcome, but not essential. Please contact Dr. Carlos
Sanchez-Cano (carlos.sanchez@dipc.org) for more information.
