Job Summary

A post doctoral position is offered at the Soft matter nanotechnology group. The aim of the position is to work on advanced characterization techniques of nanomaterials for safety studies. The post doct should work on the physico chemical characterization of nanomaterials, and on their bio/eco interaction focusing on issues related to their biological fate like dissolution, degradation, aggregation, biotransformation.

Job Description

The post doct will participate in the European Project “Platform Optimisation To Enable NanomaTerIAL safety assessment for rapid commercialisation” (Potential). The post doct will participate in the development of a framework of harmonised experimental testing for the characterization of nanoscale materials for toxicity and safety assesment. The post doct will be working with different characterization and imaging techniques aiming at understanding fate and transformation of nanomaterials in biological matrixes and how these transformation impact on toxicological endpoints.
