Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated worker to support the RIA and MRI platforms by performing routine tasks such as image acquisition, reconstruction, and image analysis. In addition, the candidate will conduct daily quality controls on the different scanners to ensure their good performance.
Job Description
The Radioimaging and Image Analysis (RIA) Platform of the Molecular Imaging Unit at CIC biomaGUNE is a state-of-the-art research facility in the field of preclinical Nuclear Imaging that develops its own research projects and provides service to the scientific community, the health system, and specialized industry. The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and will work with them in close cooperation with the users of the platform. Moreover, the candidate will also give support to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) platform when required (due to a workload peak, personnel holidays, or sick leave).
Primary responsibilities include:
Perform experiments, set up and maintenance of equipment, monitor results, collect data and/or prepare support material.
Handling, caring, and performance of procedures with research animals.
Write results reports and discuss them with the users.
Conduct regular data quality control.
Order equipment and supplies.
Training and supervising researchers on PET/SPECT/CT/MRI image acquisition, reconstruction, and image analysis.
Participate in continuous training activities.
The position implies working in an SPF animal facility, in areas of intense magnetic fields (MRI facilities), and areas of increased levels of radiation (nuclear imaging facilities). It will be mandatory for the worker to operate in such environments and therefore, the signature of the contract will be conditioned by clearance from the Health Safety and Security in the Workplace office of CIC biomaGUNE.
