A postdoctorate researcher for perovskite solar cells research

BCMaterials, Basque Center on Materials, Applications and Nanostructures, Leioa, Spain (www.bcmaterials.net), is an autonomous research center, belonging to Ikerbasque, the Basque Foundation for Science and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). We are looking for a post doctorate level researcher in the area of materials engineering and emerging solar cells. The hired researcher will develop new semiconductors and its integration in perovskite solar cells. The work will be carried out at BCMaterials and will enjoy collaboration with world leading research group. The starting date is as soon as possible, and for experience researcher competetive salary will be paid and are at par with other EU scientific establishments.
The hired researcher will work in an EU-funded, excellence research project (ERC) aiming to develop new technology for solar cells which is beyond silicon.
Skills and requirements:
• A Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry or chemical engineering
• A very high level of motivation and independent thinking abilities
• Solid and demonstrated experience in perovskite solar cells fabrication and device engineering
• Good publications record as the first author in prestigious scientific journals
• Proficiency in English, good interpersonal, and presentation skills, team player, and the ability to meet deadlines are also required.
Work Program / Duties / Responsibilities
A full-time post-doctorate position (till the end of the project) exists for a researcher within the research domain of third-generation solar cells in a cutting-edge research group at BCMaterials. BCMaterials is an independent research centre, active in functional materials located near Bilbao in the Basque Country, north of Spain.
The post-doctorate fellow will be responsible for laboratory experiments, fulfilling the project objectives, result dissemination, and will guide the Ph.D. candidates. Writing reports, and scientific articles on the research results.
