CIC energiGUNE is a R&D centre specialized in energy, electrochemical storage (batteries and supercapacitors), thermal energy solutions and hydrogen, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance- BRTA, and, a strategic initiative of the Basque Government. CIC energiGUNE was created in 2011 to generate excellent knowledge and at the same time useful for the Basque business network, being a reference in knowledge transfer.

CIC energiGUNE has launched its second spin-off Basquevolt. Basquevolt is a new and ambitious project that aims to be the European leader on solid state batteries.

In the context of the Basquevolt project, the centre is seeking a Basquevolt R+D+i Programmes Coordinator. This person will report to the management of Basquevolt and will join the company after a previous training period at CIC energiGUNE. The candidate will join a very dynamic structure and will be responsible for leading the management of granted R&D&i projects from the conception of the idea to its closure. This role will involve supporting the R&D activity in the following areas:


- In-depth knowledge and monitoring of R&D&i funding calls and selection of those to which to apply competitively.
- Management of national and international consortiums.
- Support in the preparation of proposals and justification of the activities to be carried out.
- Preparation, monitoring and control of budgets.
- Support in the management of framework agreements with companies and contracts with the administration.
- Coordination and administrative monitoring tasks to meet project milestones, in close collaboration with Basquevolt staff and collaborating organisations.
- Other delegated functions.

Additional Requirements


Specific Requirements

- Preferably a technical degree (engineering, chemistry or similar). Other degrees (business administration or similar) will aslo work, depending on the candidates and their experience in R&D&i project management.
- Experience of at least 5 years in R&D consultancy firms, research centres or companies with activity in energy storage in similar functions. Less experience will be valued depending on the quality of the same.
- Proven experience in managing big consortia and complex R&D projects, both in the EU, national and regional frameworks.
- Experience in the energy storage sector and in the field of batteries would be an asset.
- Ability to work in a team, management skills and proactivity.
- High level of spoken and written English. Daily professional use.
